Long weekend
Kurt and I got up at 4:30am on Saturday morning to get ready for the garage sale. We showered, took the signs out to major traffic areas, got cash for making change, and picked up some doughnuts. We made it home around 6:00am and started hauling out our stuff and setting up display tables. By 7:30am, we were finally ready for customers and one stopped by as we were each settling in for a Krispy Kreme and Pepsi break. After that first customer, more started coming and buying items. We were almost completely sold out by 1:30pm. We waited until 3:30pm and then packed up one box of knick knacks and 1 bag of clothes to haul away to Hope Harbor. We had one of our most successful garbage (yes, garbage) sales ever.
Originally, we had planned on having the garbage sale again today, but we had nothing left to sell. So we slept in until 5:30am and went about cleaning the aviary, folding laundry, and cleaning the house. We ran our usual errands today and had lunch with Caroline.
It was a busy but enjoyable weekend. Next weekend will be just as busy, because we are going to Caroline's on Saturday to do some chores and jump start the pickup. Then Sunday, we will be back over there to celebrate Easter.
