Traffic jam in GI
The railroad is in the process of changing out the railroad ties in GI. We currently only have three ways of getting across the tracks here in town. We didn't realize how many times each day we both cross the tracks until most of the crossings were closed. It now takes almost double the time to drive to the other side of town as normal, and the traffic in the underpasses is like being in Los Angeles with the bumper to bumper, stop and go. The railroad hopes to be finished sometime this weekend.
Last weekend, we went to the Harvest of Harmony parade and the Palmer Fall Festival parade. They were both nice, and we enjoyed going to them. The weather was wonderful. Now the weather has cooled off and it feels like fall. Halloween will be here before we know it. This weekend, we are going to be at our church for the 125th anniversary celebration. Kurt's great grandparents, grandparents, and parents were all members, so the celebration means a lot to him. He has greatly enjoyed seeing previous pastors that have visited the last few months.
