Hello to all our family and friends,
The holiday season is fast approaching, so we are trying to get our
card and letter to you sent out before the holidays are over. Soon my sister and her family will arrive
from Australia for a month long visit, so our house will be lively again. Kurt is still working at Skagway, and is
working in both the south store and warehouse.
I am still working for Contryman and not looking forward to another
rapidly approaching tax season. Benji
and Bailey still enjoy playing ball daily and let us know when the mailman and
newspaper boy arrive. They are still a
handful even though they are 11 years old, but they keep us entertained.
This year, we went to Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC for a week in
May. We got to eat at Paula Deen’s
restaurants – The Lady & Sons and Uncle Bubba’s Oyster House. We even got to meet Paula. Her brother Bubba
was at the Oyster House, but we didn’t take a picture with him. During our trip, we visited the only North
American tea plantation and the Magnolia plantation. We also toured the USS Yorktown.
In August, we went to Las Vegas for Kurt’s birthday. Kurt had a great birthday with a banana split
for breakfast and cheesecake and strawberry shortcake for lunch. I made him eat a sandwich for supper or I
think he would have ordered a dessert for his meal that evening too. We went to some shows, played some penny
slots, toured the Pawn Stars pawn shop, and zip lined down Fremont Street.
In October, we headed back to Branson for our annual vacation
there. We got to meet Barry Williams
(Greg Brady from the Brady Bunch) and see some shows, shop, and of course, eat
at our favorite restaurants. We rode the
ducks (WWII vehicle that can drive on land and water) and zip lined from
Inspiration Tower over the beautiful Ozark trees.
That is all the news we have for you this year. Hope you are doing well!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Kurt and Bobbi
