Cool Weather

We are finally getting much needed rain this week. The grass has really greened up around here, but we are still needing more rain. This morning, we were in a thunderstorm watch. We got sleet and rain, but no thunderstorms. This weekend was very laid back for us. We ran errands and went to the farm yesterday. We met with Caroline and a handy man to make us an estimate for fixing or patching up the hog shed at the farm. We got home by noon, and spent the rest of the day watching tv, working on a puzzle, and spending time with the dogs. I read a book and will start on a new one today, while Kurt is working on the puzzle.

The puzzle is a picture of Puerto Rico, so we once again were laughing about our "Honeymoon from Hell". For those of you that don't know the story, here is a short description. We were supposed to fly from Omaha to Miami and catch a cruise for our honeymoon. Fog caused a delay and we didn't get to Miami in time to get on the cruise. We were stranded with 6 other passengers from Nebraska. The airline put us up at the Miami airport hotel and then flew us to San Juan, Puerto Rico to catch up with our cruise ship. We missed half of the cruise, and had really bad experiences in San Juan. The airline attendant, Angel, was a jerk to us and the taxi didn't have a door that latched so we had to hold it as the driver sped through the island to get us to our hotel.

Today we didn't go to church as we were both too tired to get ready. It is overcast and a good day to stay home and watch a movie.
