Last day of January

It is hard to believe that spring is right around the corner. We haven't had winter yet. Kurt and I couldn't believe it on Saturday morning when we had a little rain shower with thunder and lightening. This afternoon, we are supposed to have rain again. We really need the moisture as we haven't had any rain or snow since early December.

This weekend, we went to the Home Show. It was a nice show and we enjoyed ourselves there. The thing we enjoyed the most was playing with the 4 puppies that businesses had brought to attract people to their booths. We went to Sundance and they had dogs from the Humane Society there, so we had a lot of puppies to play with. We were a little scared to go there this week, as last week we almost got a 3rd dog. A farmer was selling a cute yellow lab out in the parking lot and we both wanted to get it. We have always wanted a yellow lab, but we know that 2 dogs are enough. Plus we don't have a big enough bed for a 3rd dog to sleep with us.

Sunday, Mike and Caroline came over for homemade pizza and playing cards. We had a nice visit with them. Mike played with the dogs for awhile, so the kids had a great time with Uncle Mike.
