Christmas tree adventure
Yesterday, we went to Hastings to pick out our Christmas tree. The farm we go to, lets previous customers come out in the fall and pick out a Christmas tree before it gets too cold. Kurt and I spread out and walked through the rows of trees separately. We then compared the trees we found. We narrowed it down to two trees but couldn't decide. We made about ten trips between the two trees, carefully looking at the needles, the branch strength, the size and straightness of the trunk, etc. Finally we decided to flip a coin to see which tree we would select. Kurt flipped the coin in the air and it landed in the grass on the ground. We couldn't find the quarter. After searching for the coin for a few minutes, we decided on tree A. We headed back to it, and as we got there, another family marked it sold. So we quickly headed back to tree B and marked it sold before anyone else chose it. We told the other family about our tree picking problem and all of us got a good laugh. We then headed to the museum for the Cowboy display.
Thursday and Friday, we did some Christmas shopping and almost got finished with it. Just a few more things to pick up. Saturday, we went to Kearney to the craft show. Kurt got me a few holiday decorations for my birthday. Today, he is back to work and I am going to hit the books hard. I hope to finish a couple of classes this week.
