Bad weather

This has been a stormy summer. We didn't have storms last night, but the eastern part of Nebraska was hit hard. We have had 19 inches of rain this year, and the sewer system is on the verge of collapsing in GI. The mayor authorized the city personnel to start pumping sanitary sewer water into a nearby lake, which will then flow downstream. A lot of GI is flooding, but our house remains high and dry.

Work is going good for both of us. A few weeks ago, it was decided that my company will be relocating to a different building by next summer. They are looking at building new or moving into a location that is bigger. That will be nice for me and my department, as we are in a building basement across the street from the main building. We constantly have to take paperwork back and forth, no matter what the weather conditions are.

We killed around 20 snakes last week, but haven't seen any this week. The mosquitoes are out thick. Our legs and arms look like a mess with all of the bites.
