Long time, no blog
We have been really busy the last few weeks, but hope to have things slow down a little now. On May 2nd, we left for our Florida vacation and cruise to the Bahamas. We flew to Orlando and stayed in the Cocoa Beach area the first night. We decided to walk to a restaurant next to our motel for lunch and saw a mini golf course next door. So we played mini golf instead of swimming at our resort pool. We could look out our picture window and see some of the cruise ships that had already docked. On Sunday morning, we got on the Carnival Sensation and set sail for open waters. We had a great time aboard the ship. Nassau and Freeport were both very dirty and unsafe ports of call, so we didn't explore them too long. We played a lot of trivia and games on the ship. We won three Ships on a Stick trophies. Two were mine for being first place at answering trivia questions, I tied for a third, but let the other lady have it since I already had two, and Kurt and I won the third trophy by playing a Newlywed type of game on our anniversary. We also got eight medals for getting 2nd place or participating in the activities.
This was what we wore to formal night. Kurt always thinks we need an outside shot, so we have the wind blown look.
We got off the ship on Thursday and headed for Kennedy Space Center. We found a really nice taxi driver, who offered to keep our luggage all day. (It is really scary to leave luggage with someone you don't know, but it worked out.) He came and picked us up when we were done and took us to Orlando to our motel near the airport. We flew home the next morning and got ready for graduation.
