In KC
Yesterday we got up early and drove to Kansas City. We got to Cabela's around 11:00 and then scoped out the Great Wolf Lodge next door. We decided it is the camping version of the water park motel in Omaha that we stay at, but three times the price, so we won't be staying at the Great Wolf Lodge any time soon. We then drove to Joe's Crab Shack and Bass Pro. I got my new tacklebox and Kurt picked up a couple of hats. I found a pink Ugly Stick and told Kurt to get that for my birthday. Joe's was so good. We had the steam pots they show on the commercials. Mine was the sunfire bbq pot, and it had a nice kick. Kurt's was the classic like I make at home with Old Bay seasoning. I asked the waitress if they sell the sunfire seasoning and she said no. Pretty soon the manager came out with a plastic bag full of the seasoning for me to take home. How nice is that? After shopping and eating, we headed to the Missouri side of KC and checked into our motel. After a long day, we were happy to just sit and relax a little bit. Kurt got some brochures on what to do and found that a Schlitterbahn water park opened up right by the Cabela's we were at earlier in the day and we didn't see it. We tried to go to the Sclitterbahn waterparks in Texas a few years ago, but it didn't work out. Therefore our schedule here is: Sunday - Oceans of Fun, Monday - Worlds of Fun, Tuesday - Schlitterbahn, and Wednesday - drive home.
