4th of July weekend

Kurt was off from work on Thursday but worked Friday. I worked Thursday but was off on Friday. We started out the weekend with each of us working on sanding the rocker and swing. Friday night, we went to Jackie and Jerry's house for supper and fireworks. On Saturday, we stained and sealed both pieces of outdoor furniture. We ran our usual errands and went out to eat. Neither of us felt good after eating out, so we came home and rested. We went to bed early without watching any fireworks. On Sunday, I had Kurt up by 5:30 and we headed out to fish. We found a nice spot at the GI East Bound I-80 rest area. We went through 20 worms and 5 shad in about 2 hours. We only caught one fish, but it was sure enjoyable. We would cast, our bobbers would go under, we would reel them in, and re-bait. We don't mind not catching fish, because we can buy cleaned fish at the store. After that, we came home and cleaned up. We headed out to eat and then came home and played games the rest of the day. The neighbors were enjoying watching us play Chuck-o and yard jarts. We got the new Scrabble and Monopoly card games and played those inside.
