July 4th

Kurt and I are going to spend a nice, quiet day together. We usually invite people over, but this year we decided to just go on a picnic to the river. Last night was a rough one, so Kurt is sleeping in. Two of our neighbors lit firecrackers until 11:30pm, so we were kept awake until then. Benji is scared of firecrackers, so I slept with him downstairs where the sound is muffled by the walls. Hopefully he won't be so scared tonight. Kurt has to be to work at 7:00am tomorrow, and I start a summer speech class at 9:00am.
