Gulf Coast

Once again, I think I am a jinx. Every time I even think about visiting the Gulf, a hurricane comes. Kurt and I looked at going to Gulf Shores, AL in October, but decided against it last weekend. Now the Gulf Coast is going to be hammered with Hurricane Gustav and possibly Hannah. Please say extra prayers for the people in that area still recuperating from Katrina and Rita.

Tomorrow, Kurt and Caroline are celebrating their birthdays. I put a pork roast in the bbq pit this morning and it is already smelling great. Tonight I will throw a brisket in the bbq pit as well. What is better than pulled pork and brisket?
