Enjoyable warm day
We went out to eat with Caroline and then over to her house to do a few chores. Then we headed over to the mini golf place. The usual bet is that whoever loses has to buy ice cream. After the first 9 holes, I was ahead by one stroke. The pressure was on for the last 9 holes. After all was said and done, I won by 6 strokes. I did have a hole-in-one, so Kurt started calling me "Old Eagle Eye". Yesterday, we played 3 games of Backgammon and I won all of those as well. Kurt said after we ate ice cream, that we needed to come home to play lawn darts. He knows that is the only game he can beat me at consistently. We were tied at 17 all, then I pulled into the lead with a score of 20 to 19. Kurt ended up winning at 23 to 20. Yeah for Kurt. Plus the neighbors got good entertainment watching us be really bad at the game. When we got done with games, we decided on which shows to go to in Branson and got the tickets ordered. This should be the last trip there for awhile, so we are going to see more shows than normal. We are going to see Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Jim Stafford, Mickey Gilley, Dixie Stampede (3rd yr in a row, but now they have a long horn steer addition to the show), and Sons of the Pioneers Chuckwagon Dinner Show. We also have our mini golf planned out. We will go to The Lost Treasure golf, Dinosaur golf, Pirates golf, and the Grand Country golf. We will eat at the Grand Country buffet after golf this time. It is not a good idea to eat at the buffet before golfing. Lastly, we are going to Silver Dollar City. We won't ride many of the rides, but are going more for the shows, crafters, and food (ribs and funnel cake).
P.S. Wendell and LaVerna, We saw you yesterday at State Street and 281. You were on State in the left-hand turn lane and we were in the lane right beside you. We would have honked, but we didn't realize it was you until you started turning. We saw Cullin so we figured maybe you were going north to St. Libory.
